The water cycle.
The water cycle is the way water moves around the earth. The water in rivers, oceans and lakes is heated up by the sun. The liquid water evaporates and turns into a gas. The gas is called water vapor. Then the gas goes up into the air and forms into a cloud. Inside the cloud the gas turns back into liquid water and it moves around in the cloud. Then the cloud gets too heavy and the liquid water falls back to the earth. Then the cycle starts again. The water that we are drinking now is the same water that dinosaurs drank 1000s of years ago.
Why is the water cycle important to the earth?
The water cycle is important to the earth because water can keep plants and people alive. So if the water cycle stops, the results will be that we will have no rain and no water.
So then everyone on earth will die.
So therefore to make sure every living thing on earth keeps living, the water cycle has to keep moving and working.
So thats why the water cycle is important to the earth.
